Solar Activity (24 hr Summary)
Solar activity remained at very low levels. There were no spotted regions on the visible disk and no Earth-directed CMEs were visible in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast
Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels all three days
(07-09 Jan).

Energetic Particle (24 hr Summary)
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux ranged from normal to high levels, with a max flux of 8,106 pfu observed at 06/1915 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.
Forecast
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on days one through three (07-09 Jan) due to CH HSS effects. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to be at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind (24 hr Summary)
Solar wind parameters remained enhanced under negative polarity CH HSS influences. Solar wind speeds generally ranged between 650-725 km/s with a peak of 765 km/s observed at 06/0324 UTC. Total field ranged between 2-5 nT while the Bz component was variable between +/- 3 nT. The phi angle was in a primarily negative orientation.

Forecast
The solar wind environment is anticipated to remain enhanced under the influence of the negative polarity CH HSS through days one and two (07-08 Jan). A gradual return to a more nominal solar wind environment is expected on day three (09 Jan).

Geospace (24 hr Summary)
The geomagnetic field ranged from quiet to active levels under the influence of the negative polarity CH HSS.

.Forecast...
The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to active levels on day one (07 Jan) due to continued negative polarity CH HSS effects. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on day two (08 Jan), followed by quiet conditions on day three (09 Jan) as CH HSS effects weaken.
